As a Product Designer at OneVest, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver a multitude of experiences across both web and mobile platforms.About The RoleWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our growing design team. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to craft intuitive experiences that meet the needs of our enterprise customers and their retail investor clients. You will be involved in every stage of the design process, from discover to delivery.What You'll Be Doing - Design Innovative Solutions: Work collaboratively to design and iterate on product features for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring they are usable, accessible, and aligned with our business goals.
- User-Centered Approach: Conduct user research and leverage data to inform design decisions, forming a strong understanding of our users’ needs and advocating for user-driven decision-making.
- Create Deliverables: Develop user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate design concepts.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with multidisciplinary teams including product, engineering, and marketing to ensure cohesive and impactful experiences.
- Maintain Design Consistency: Contribute to and help maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually bring fresh ideas to the team.
Qualifications - Experience: 3+ years of experience as a product designer, preferably in tech and/or startup environment.
- Portfolio: A showcase of thoughtfully crafted, impactful solutions that address ambiguous, real-world user challenges.
- Design Fundamentals: Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design, leveraging established patterns and principles while also exploring innovative solutions.
- Proficiency with Figma: Skilled in using Figma for design systems, including creating and managing components, variants, and interactive prototypes.
- Research Savvy: Experience conducting and/or synthesizing user research and usability testing.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail, consistency, and quality.
- Familiarity with designing for accessibility and inclusive design practices.
- Experience working with or contributing to a design system.
- Bonus points if you have experience in the wealth management or financial services industry.
