About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and visionary Product Owner to join our client’s team in a newly created role. You will be at the forefront of shaping our product strategy, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to bring our vision to life. This is an exciting opportunity to create structure, establish the product roadmap, and maintain the product backlog from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape and Drive Product Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy based on deep insights gathered from stakeholder conversations.
- Establish and maintain a structured product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead the translation of strategic priorities into actionable and well-documented backlog items.
Champion Development Excellence:
- Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring readiness for development.
- Act as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and resolve product-related challenges to maintain alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure that features and user stories meet acceptance criteria and exceed stakeholder expectations.
Lead Product Discovery and Innovation:
- Conduct user research, data analysis, and customer interviews to gather insights and inform product decisions.
- Develop a dynamic feature roadmap that adapts to new and evolving product requirements.
- Establish effective communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed of product progress and milestones.
- Leverage commercial acumen to identify and prioritize high-impact revenue opportunities, aligning product decisions with market demand and financial goals.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven track record in designing and delivering product roadmaps, especially in a startup environment.
- Ability to balance long-term strategic vision with the execution of day-to-day tactical objectives.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including requirements gathering, backlog management, and risk mitigation.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
