Description:
The Order Entry Specialist will use a significant attention to detail to enter and process accounts receivables orders, while also providing a high level of customer service.
What You'll Do:
- Creates accurate orders in the accounting system for client invoicing using data from sales contracts, CRM or other required data sources
- Follows processes and workflows as instructed to ensure accounting compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- Verifies, updates and maintains records to display up to date account payment status
- Helps support and respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, payments and other accounting related questions or to resolve customer invoice discrepancies
- Assist with the reporting and collection of sales taxes
- Forecasts monthly and annual invoicing and prepare weekly scheduled invoices
- Assists in the preparation of ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Works with team members to support implementation of new accounting systems and processes as needed
- Coordinates with the Contracts Team for future invoicing budget requests from clients
- Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
- Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting, finance or comparable field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or other similar CRM and Accounting technologies
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts
- Proven technical accounting experience and ability adapt quickly to new accounting systems
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks with shifting priorities
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
- Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
- Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
- Ability to travel as required, up to 10%
