Our headquarters are located in Helsinki and we have a regional office in Hong Kong. Our company operates exclusively in English.

We are seeking to grow our global team with a skilled Merchandiser based in Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for developing consumer goods manufactured in Portugal, spanning multiple brands and product categories such as apparel, accessories, home decor, and textiles. This position offers a unique opportunity to oversee the entire supply chain process, from product conception to manufacturing, while also engaging in design, marketing, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Conducting market research to identify and develop new product opportunities.
• Making strategic design decisions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and production efficiency.
• Identifying and building strong relationships with manufacturers in Portugal to ensure the production of high-quality goods.
• Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to meet our quality and budgetary standards.
• Managing the product sourcing journey from initial request to final delivery, including sample approvals and rigorous quality control.
• Ensuring that all products comply with US trade regulations.
• Collaborating with creative teams, including photographers, videographers, and copywriters, to develop compelling marketing materials.
• Maintaining daily communication with a diverse network of over 100 entrepreneurs, craftsmen, designers, quality control experts, logistics professionals, and regulatory advisors.
• Working from a fixed location in Portugal to efficiently handle the frequent delivery of product samples, given the nature of the role.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to communicate in fluent Portuguese and is in possession of a work permit from Portugal. Your application will not be considered if you do not meet this requirement.
• Prefers working independently with minimal supervision.
• Has a great taste in branding and all things visual.
• Is incredibly smart and resourceful.
• Has excellent organizational skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
