Role Overview

As the Website & SEO Manager at Phrase, you'll play a leading role in enhancing our online web presence, driving organic traffic from our target ICP that converts, and ensuring our global, multi-lingual website is a powerful communication tool. Reporting to the Global Head of Demand Generation, you'll lead the strategy and execution of our website and SEO efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless, user-centric web experience that aligns to the overarching demand generation strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Website Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Phrase website, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice and delivers against our business objectives and maintains a strict governance process around publishing.
  • SEO Strategy : Develop and implement SEO strategies that drive traffic that converts from our ICP, improve search engine rankings, and maximize ROI. Develop a keyphrase strategy that prioritizes an approach where searcher intent is paramount.
  • Content Optimization : Collaborate with the content team to optimize on-page elements, ensuring all content is SEO-friendly, meets user needs and continually improves enquiry rate.
  • Performance Monitoring : Use analytics tools to track website performance daily, identify areas for improvement and action them proactively. Keep the customer at the forefront of your thinking, implementing strategies to enhance user experience and conversion rates at all times.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with product marketing, product, and design teams to ensure the website fully supports campaign objectives and new product launches.
  • Technical SEO : Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, ensuring the website is optimized for search engine crawlers and follows best practices.
  • Stay Updated : Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, search engine algorithm updates, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.


Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in global website management and SEO, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment targeting Enterprise clients
  • Hands-on expertise in working in WordPress CMS, structuring wireframes, establishing publishing workflows and managing user permissions
  • Strong understanding of modern SEO principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in all web analytics tools (including, GA4, GTM, GSC, SEMrush etc).
  • Further experience with content management systems, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.You’ll be obsessed with data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong communication, presenting and interpersonal skills.The ability to distill complex issues and present at the appropriate level for varying stakeholders.
  • You’ll be measured on website conversion rates, so a fixation on attracting the correct site visitors and driving subsequent enquiry that results in closed won, is key. More than just vanity metrics.
