Advisory board opportunity


Are you a carbon market expert looking to make a significant impact on global climate mitigation efforts? The Carbon Reserve is seeking experienced professionals to join our Advisory Panel.


Role Overview


As an Advisory Panel member, you will play a crucial role in guiding the Carbon Reserve's strategic decisions related to the growth and composition of its portfolio of carbon mitigation assets. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to a cutting-edge organization at the forefront of building a diversified portfolio of carbon mitigation assets.


Key Responsibilities


- Provide recommendations on medium- and long-term asset allocation for the Foundation's carbon mitigation asset (CMA) portfolio.

- Assess and rate CMAs for inclusion in the Carbon Reserve portfolio, using our Mitigation Value Assessment Framework.

- Educate the Board of Trustees on general portfolio risks and carbon market developments.

- Participate in specific tasks as requested by the Board, such as reviewing public consultation feedback on our assessment framework.


Qualifications and Requirements


- Extensive experience and expertise in carbon markets.

- Ability to attend one in-person meeting annually and up to three virtual meetings per year.

- Commitment to thorough preparation and active participation in panel discussions.

- Requirement to disclose conflicts of interest.


Terms of Appointment


- Initial term as determined by the Board of Trustees, with a 6-month probation period.

- Maximum total term of 2 years.
