About The Role
The dYdX Foundation is actively seeking a talented Graphic Designer to spearhead the creative direction and visual identity of our organization within the rapidly evolving realm of DeFi. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to define and enhance the brand's creative vision. As our Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the external perception of the dYdX ecosystem. Collaborating closely with our marketing and leadership teams, you will bring the brand's visual identity to life across diverse formats and assets.

Our mission is to grow the dYdX protocol ecosystem by enabling communities, developers, and decentralized governance. The recently launched dYdX Chain, a dedicated proof-of-stake blockchain network built using the Cosmos SDK, is already the leading decentralized exchange.
The dYdX ecosystem is revolutionizing the DeFi space following the recent launch of the dYdX Chain, which already processed around $166B in trading volume in the first six months of 2024. Secured by 60 independent validators, the dYdX Chain is a standalone proof-of-stake blockchain network built using the Cosmos SDK and leveraging CometBFT for consensus. It offers a fully decentralized, highly scalable trading experience and self-custodial access to trading perpetual futures on 69 markets. As our Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the external perception of the dYdX ecosystem. Collaborating closely with our marketing and leadership teams, you will bring the brand's visual identity to life across diverse formats and assets.
What You'll be Doing
- Design Strategy Leadership: Help define and execute the creative vision and strategy for the dYdX Foundation, aligning with our mission to support and grow the dYdX protocol ecosystem.
- Visual Communication: Oversee the creation of various types of visual assets for marketing campaigns, website updates, social media, and community engagement initiatives. These include static images, illustrations, gifs, animations and videos.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure design consistency and alignment with the goals of the ecosystem.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all design deliverables adhere to high standards of quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Provide design insights and recommendations during strategic planning, marketing and continuous improvement cycles.
Must-haves
- 5 years of experience in a relevant design role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and creative excellence.
- Proven track record in building and evolving the visual identity of brands and expertise with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
- The ability to create a range of different asset types, including static and animated.
- A passion for blockchain technology, DeFi, and cryptocurrency markets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and staying aGraphic Designer trends in blockchain and fintech industries.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Proactive with a drive to work through hard problems and set priorities.
- Experience working remotely and independently with a global team.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in English
