We are looking for great engineers to join the team responsible for the flagship Exclaimer Cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, utilizing the latest technologies in our push to expand the product’s functionality and evolve the technical platform.


As part of the development team, this role is expected to act as a technical leader within the team, working alongside a team of like-minded engineers you will be given the freedom to identify and deliver real world improvements to our development system, and help shape future technical direction. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities, while expanding your knowledge and skill set in a supportive environment.


Working with other key technical leaders across the wider engineering team to ensure the creation of a robust, reusable technical solution serving the needs of both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, as a strong individual contributor, overseeing the team's day to day work and mentoring technical practices.
  • Delivery of incremental bodies of work that continuously move our user experience forward.
  • Work closely with our UX Designers to deliver a world class user experience across multiple demographics.
  • Work with the Product, UX and wider development team to define solutions to the customers problems and identify increments that allow the earliest possible release of value.
  • Being hands on with the technology and helping to drive the technical direction of the product through creation of exemplars and input into internal best practices.
  • Drive the evolution of the component library and implementation of the design language to support the build out of new features.
  • Be an individual contributor to the implementation of high quality, well tested and peer reviewed solutions, setting an example to the team around you. Implementing UX designs and application of consistent UX design and creating bespoke components and managing the UI component library.
  • Define technical approach and leading day to day initiatives in the development team. Working with the engineers, engineering managers and staff engineers to ensure technical approach is in line with technical strategy and industry best practices.
  • Improvement to the team’s ability to deliver UI/UX improvements through incorporating new tooling and identification and correction of impediments in the wider team's ability to delivery UI/UX Improvements.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Be passionate hands-on front-end engineering utilizing the latest version of Angular, with a strong knowledge of development and technical principles, methodologies, and values.
  • An experienced and driven individual contributor with the knowledge and skills to guide technical direction, unblocking the development team, and act as a point of technical escalation and knowledge with-in the team.
  • Experience in creating bespoke components in Angular, managing UI component library, and in working with component driven design and testing.
  • Experience of managing UX change across an existing application, and working with UX designers to ensure that the application remains consistent while supporting evolution and continuous modernization of the UI.
  • Experience of working closely with Product Management to identify and collaborate on the optimal solution to the customer/technical problem.
  • Experience of key technologies utilized by Exclaimer; Angular, Storybook, Chromatic, Unit testing, CI/CD, Third Party Tools (Optimizely, AppCues, Heap), Observability platform (Datadog).
  • Demonstrable experience of utilizing real-team user monitoring and analytics tools to understand and resolve the real-world issues in user interfaces.
  • Excellent ability to establish trust and build relationships with engineers, peers, and stakeholders across the business; you will be able to communicate clearly and succinctly, and without ambiguity.
  • History of working in fast-paced SaaS business delivering high frequency incremental delivery of customer facing functionality.
