About the Role

RootstockLabs is a core contributor to the Rootstock Blockchain, a Bitcoin merge-mined smart contracts platform - the most secure smart contract platform in the world. RootstockLabs also develops the Rootstock Infrastructure Framework (RIF) to provide our partners with everything they need to build decentralised apps and protocols in the exciting Bitcoin Defi L2 space.

As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for an experienced Blockchain Events Marketing Manager to join our Go-To-Market team. The Events Marketing Manager will play a key role in ensuring the success of RootstockLabs in industry events. They will be responsible for planning and executing engaging and impactful events within the Web 3 ecosystem. They will work closely with the marketing team, operations team, and key stakeholders to ensure that our events’ presence aligns with the organisation’s goals and effectively reach our target audience.

What You’ll be Doing

• Event Strategy: Develop a comprehensive events strategy aligned with the company's overall marketing objectives and target audience
• Event Planning: Plan and coordinate all aspects of Web 3 events, including but not limited to venue selection, speaker recruitment, agenda development, budget management, and logistics coordination
• Promotion and Marketing: Create marketing campaigns to promote events across various channels, including social media, email marketing, online communities, and industry partnerships. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling content and messaging to drive event attendance and engagement
• Audience Engagement: Foster relationships with attendees, speakers, sponsors, and partners to enhance the attendee experience and encourage ongoing engagement with the company and its products/services
• Measurement and Analysis: Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the success of events and identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to optimize future event strategies and tactics
• Industry Research: Stay informed about the latest trends, developments, and best practices in the Web 3 space. Leverage industry insights to identify new event opportunities and ensure that our events remain relevant and impactful

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in event marketing, preferably within the blockchain industry.
• Deep understanding of Web 3 technologies, relevant audiences and their communities
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a drive to deliver exceptional event experiences
