What We’re Looking For
As the Staff Data Analyst in our Business Intelligence Team, we are seeking someone with a passion for data at scale and driving data product management. You will use the principles of data product management to craft analytical products which will deliver lasting insights for SurveyMonkey.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Collaborate across all lines of business (Product, Growth, Finance, Marketing, Customer and Sales) to get the requirements for Key Performance Indicators and metrics that data products need to provide
- Work closely with business leaders and other partners to understand business problems and translate them into the insightful solutions
- Manage product artifacts such as catalog of the core data models (e.g., dimension and fact tables), logical models, and other important data assets to support governance
- Provide guidance on specific data elements that need to be tracked to ensure tracking of metrics
- Communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Align with Data Engineering & Business Data Science teams on new and existing data acquisition and pipeline requirements
We’d love to hear from people with
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 8 years of analytical experience delivering high quality insights for business transformation
- Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to understand business, challenges, structure complex problems and deliver solution
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both business and technical audiences
- Proficiency in SQL
- Understanding of the technical architecture of cloud-based data pipelines, warehousing, and data management systems like Snowflake, Databricks or Redshift
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools or other data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc
