What you’ll focus on

Project Delivery

• Design pivotal game systems with a focus on economy, player retention, and balancing
• Deeply understand player psychology, creating systems that cater to their motivations and enhance their engagement
• Demonstrate a proven track record in designing and balancing intricate game crafting systems and content
• Utilise knowledge of game design theory and tools pipelines to inform and refine design processes
• Serve as the primary communication lead with clients, ensuring clarity and precision in all interactions
• Leverage extensive experience in product development and ownership to drive innovation and strategic direction
• Apply a sophisticated understanding of business strategy, growth, and economic models to enhance our competitive edge
• Design and implement token utility, value flow, and incentive structures to support project goals
• Take full accountability for project outcomes, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to excellence, across concurrent client engagements
• Lead and manage project delivery, focusing on innovative designs and mechanisms, while mentoring more junior team members
• Oversee project planning and scheduling, including timelines, resources, and deliverables, while leading a cohesive project team
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, and develop comprehensive strategies for risk management
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, working closely with other stakeholders for effective implementation
• Continuously improve project delivery and team coordination, ensuring high-quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction, along with a willingness to share knowledge and accept guidance

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through market analysis, leveraging a deep understanding of business strategy, growth, and economic models
• Utilise a personal network across Asia, the USA, LATAM, and Europe, focusing on transitioning these connections into the Web3 space
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams, contributing to business success
• Contribute to sales and revenue targets through effective negotiation, deal closure, and sales pipeline management
• Engage in networking and industry events to expand professional networks and stay informed on industry trends
• Collaborate with consultancy and marketing teams to align business strategies with market trends, tracking performance metrics for strategic insights
• Draw on insights and experience from previous roles in top-tier consulting firms or leading fintech companies to enhance business development strategies
• Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a fervent passion for the crypto industry, driving innovation and strategic direction

About you

• Game Design Proficiency: 4-7 years experience in Web2 game design, showcasing success in creating immersive experiences and strategic project leadership
• Financial and Product Expertise: 3-5 years expertise in areas such as financial services, product management, economic modelling, incentive design or mechanism design
• Consulting Proficiency: Highly refined foundational consulting competencies in research, analysis, presentation, and meticulous attention to detail
• Economic Optimisation Expertise: 2-3 years experience in token economics with proficiency in elevating and fine-tuning economic models designed by peers, with a focus on Web3 economies and innovative applications in gaming
• Web3 Acumen: In-depth knowledge of the Web3 ecosystem, including blockchain technology, decentralised finance (DeFi), NFTs, and related concepts, or an insatiable curiosity and passion for learning with an eagerness to pivot or deepen engagement in this sector
• Game Economy Architecting: Exceptional capability in crafting and validating an engaging game economy, seamlessly integrating token economy systems with gameplay elements to ensure balance and challenge. This includes adeptness in developing economies from inception, modelling complex token economies with precision in Excel, and innovating economies for LiveOps events
• Remote Collaboration Skills: Experience working in a remote-first, async-first environment, with a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team
• Industry Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry and start-up working environment
• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be fluent in English
• Independence and Organisation: Organised and self-sufficient. Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team
