Contract Specialist


Position Overview:

The Contract Specialist will support the contract management lifecycle of MEVCO’s contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements. This role involves reviewing and negotiating various contractual documents, coordinating internal resources, and providing guidance on key commercial and legal considerations. The Contract Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support MEVCO’s procurement activities and drive efficient contract management practices.


Role & Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, amendments, and related documentation. Ensure that contracts are properly documented and filed for easy retrieval when needed.

Review and draft electronic information resource agreements and design agreements, consulting agreements, professional services agreements, and other contractual documents.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all vendor contract documentation, processing and storing them appropriately.

Engage and coordinate internal resources, including the Chief Operating Officer, The Chief Commercial Officer and other stakeholders as needed.

Provide guidance to business teams on key commercial and legal considerations.

Identify and implement improvements to the contract lifecycle management process.

Provide guidance and escalate issues when business or legal issues arise during existing contract relationships.

Stay updated on best practices related to contract structure, legal terms, and laws affecting vendor and client relationships.


Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, or Diploma of Contract Management (Australia), or CPCM/CCCM/CCMA certifications (US) preferred.

1-2 or more years of comparable contract review experience within a corporate legal or finance or operations department.

Previous experience with reviewing contracts related to automotive or mining preferred.

Strong analytical skills to systematically analyze complex problems and implement solutions.

Excellent interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.


Technologies/Software:

- Proficiency in MS Office suite with advanced Word editing skills required.
