Home of our product development is the Products & Engineering department, which consists of 14 cross-functional product teams across 3 product domains (Consumer, Business and Platform), working in an agile environment.

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer (f/m/d) Fullstack with a strong focus on backend development to join our Connect Team. Your primary focus will be the development and enhancement of Plugins for Shopify and Shopware 6. You will work closely with cross-functional Teams to deliver high-quality, cloud-based ecommerce solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Software Engineer (f/m/d):

• Develop and enhance Plugins for Shopify and Shopware 6.
• Design Plugins for other Cloud-based (cart) Systems.
• Document and support the Solutions you create for both internal and external Stakeholders.

A Typical Day as a Software Engineer (f/m/d) at Trusted Shops:

• Start your day by setting up your remote workspace or adjusting your desk at the office.
• Collaborate with your Team to brainstorm and implement innovative Plugin Features for Shopify, Shopware, and other E-Commerce Platforms.
• Dive into E-Commerce Platform documentation to prepare for the development of new Plugins.
• Work closely with Colleagues from Product Management, Frontend and Backend Development, Architecture, QA, and Cloud Engineering to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Take a break for lunch—either at Home or by exploring local Restaurants with Colleagues near the Office.
• Analyze and resolve Technical Support issues for the Components you’ve built, applying quick fixes and improvements as needed.
• Present your progress and results during regular reviews with key Stakeholders.
• On your Self-Education Day (monthly), focus on personal growth with a self-directed learning agenda and no scheduled Meetings.
• Wrap up the day with Team-building activities such as Waffle Day or enjoy a drink on the Rooftop Terrace.

Qualifications and Skills we’re looking For:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with Shopify or Shopware 6 plugin development is essential.
• Proven expertise in NodeJS and server-side TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of serverless architecture using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, S3, and CloudFront.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, especially Jest.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., PHP) is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus).
• A proactive mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a results-driven approach.
