We are seeking a People Services (Payroll) Coordinator to join our Finance Operations team in our Calgary studio. This contract role will support day-to-day operations for 12–14 months, playing a key role in delivering accurate, timely payroll and employee support across the organization.
How you'll make a difference:
Payroll administration including data entry and bi-weekly processing of payroll for salary and hourly employees Payroll administration including new hires, leaves of absence, employee changes, and terminations – the employee life cycle while at DIALOG Document and records management; timely and accurate uploading of employee information and supporting materials to our HCM system – Dayforce Assist in Identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records Respond to payroll, and benefit inquiries from employees Assist with weekly timesheet review and posting Ad-hoc reports as required
Who you are:
2 - 4 years’ payroll experience as a designated PCP Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) in good standing with the National Payroll Institution (NPI) is required Good working knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards Legislation and experience with payroll in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario is preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is essential Strong discretion and ability to uphold confidentiality Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Enjoy working in a team environment and continually develop skills Willing to work onsite (or at minimum, work the majority of each week in office)
Nice to have:
Experience with Dayforce and BST11 preferredPost-secondary education (certificate, diploma, or degree) in related field Prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience Experience in multi-province, mid-sized organizations (500+ employees) preferred
