Cyber Preparedness for Leaders is an 80-hour hybrid leadership and capacity-building program designed for women-led small businesses and not-for-profit organizations across Western Canada. The program equips leaders with the knowledge, tools, and community support required to strengthen their organization’s digital resilience.
The learning experience combines structured instruction, applied implementation, immersive cyber range simulations, and ongoing community engagement.
Note: We are currently building our Adjunct Instructor talent pool for potential contracts during the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Hours are not guaranteed; you will only be contacted if a teaching opportunity becomes available.
Role
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert and Facilitator to co-deliver this program in collaboration with SAIT’s Product and Learning Design teams. This is not a purely technical training role. The facilitator will guide non-technical leaders through applied cybersecurity concepts, governance decisions, incident response leadership, and implementation planning. The successful candidate must be able to translate complex cybersecurity principles into accessible, leadership-focused learning experiences.
Time Commitment

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required Experience7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, risk management, or cyber governanceDemonstrated experience leading incident response or crisis managementExperience facilitating adult learning, workshops, or executive briefings
Preferred ExperienceExperience translating technical risk into business language for boards or senior leadershipExperience working with small businesses, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizationsFamiliarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or equivalent governance frameworksExperience conducting tabletop exercises or cyber simulationsExperience in community-based or equity-focused initiativesPrior teaching or facilitation experience in post-secondary or professional education
