Position Details: 

  

Pay: $17.75 - $19.25 per hour

Shifts: Flexible availability required, Willing to work/cover evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays

Type: Full-time, benefit-eligible

Responsibilities: 

 

 - Oversee front desk, lobby, and Grab and Go operations

- Recruit, train, and manage front desk staff.

- Handle scheduling and cover shifts as needed. Ensure accurate completion of bank deposits and daily paperwork.

- Maintain guest and group experience, addressing inquiries and feedback.

- Promote HI USA’s mission and provide information on memberships and local area.

- Perform housekeeping, laundry, and light maintenance duties.

- Conduct hostel tours and orientations.

- Provide overnight, on-call assistance for emergencies.

- Other duties as assigned.

  

Skills/Qualifications: 

  

- Associate degree and 2 years of customer service or front desk management experience.

- Proficient in cash handling and recording receipts.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Familiarity with reservation/accounting systems.

- Excellent conflict resolution skills.

- Computer literacy (Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook preferred).

- Willing to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

- First Aid and CPR certification preferred; training can be provided.

- Ability to speak a second language is a plus.  

 

Physical Requirements: 

- Regularly required to sit, use hands and arms 

- Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear 

- Occasionally required to climb or balance 

- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds 

- Specific vision abilities required: close, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 

- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
