The Manager, Legal serves as a key member of the legal team, providing high-level support to the VP, AGC while managing legal operations, workflows, and supporting the legal team with real estate transactions, including asset management, leasing, construction, financing and other related transactions. This position bridges legal execution and legal management, supporting attorneys with complex legal tasks and projects while ensuring efficient and compliant legal processes across the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong background working as a kay player in the Legal team, demonstrated leadership ability, and experience supporting in-house legal departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the point of escalation for paralegal matters; provide guidance on legal best practices and process improvements.
Track and monitor transaction deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including asset management, leasing, construction, financing, NDAs and other related documents.
Conduct legal research and due diligence and gather necessary documentation for real estate transactions.
Coordinate with external legal counsel and internal corporate stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and support strategic objectives.
Stay up-to-date with real estate laws, regulations, and market trends.
Assist in legal operations initiatives such as contract lifecycle management, legal spend tracking, and vendor engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred.
Advanced degree (e.g., JD or MBA) is a plus but not required.
At least 10+ years of relevant work experience, focusing on real estate transactions.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent drafting, communication and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and legal documentation.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and legal technology platforms (e.g., CLM, e-billing, Salesforce).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
$120,000 - $150,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
