Purpose
Key Missions
- Gathers and evaluates user and ecosystem needs in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Conducts users interviews and tests, studies and evaluates how users feel about a system or concept, looking at things like ease of use, perception of the value of the system or concept, efficiency in performing tasks, etc.
- Translates user needs and business requirements into recommendations, that will result into features and functionalities for a system or concept
- Develops process flows, wireframes, and mock-ups (hardware and software) to effectively conceptualize, test and communicate high-level design strategies
- Identifies and troubleshoots UX problems to improve the existing system or concept
- Promotes the user-centric approach and methodologies across the company’s engineer teams (and beyond)
- Manages several projects in parallel, end-to-end and in autonomy
- Presents and advocates the brief of a project to the stakeholders, decision makers or product owners by explaining to them the phases and costs of projects and convinces them to kick-start
- Holds experience and a comprehensive view of the company processes and stakeholders in order to involve them adequately during the collaboration and on key decision points or milestones
- Adjusts the methodology to the internal client context and requirements
- Neutralizes efficiently biases during interviews, tests, workshops, in order to optimize the value of collected information
Profile & Other Information
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects.
Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Experience leading design teams or projects with a demonstrated ability to mentor others.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing creativity with practical implementation.
