Job Summary
Job Purpose Statement: Under the direct supervision of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the general supervision of the Director of Special Services and/or Program Administrator, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) assists students with extensive support needs in Regional Programs who exhibit severe behavioral challenges in and outside of the classroom setting. They assist in the implementation of behavior plans and track data daily to provide necessary information for the purposes of developing behavior plans and monitoring progress for assigned students. RBTs are responsible for providing behavior support to students with behavioral challenges in a variety of settings, including general and special education classes, transportation, and non-instructional settings such as recess and school activities. Behaviors requiring RBT support can include, but are not limited to elopement, hitting, kicking, scratching, biting, verbal aggression, other physical aggression, spitting, and verbal/physical refusal. This is an itinerant position that requires travel to different locations in El Dorado County.

Requirements / Qualifications
-Experience: Candidates must be a current Registered Behavior Technician with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. At least two years of experience working in an educational environment, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) clinic, and/or home program setting. Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
-Education: Two years of higher education study (48 semester units), OR possession of an Associate’s or higher degree, OR equivalent experience working with individuals with extensive support needs in an educational environment, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) clinic, and/or home program setting.

Initial salary placement is on the first step of range.
