GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a SQL Developer in the Mechanicsburg, PA area.

Seeking a SQL Developer responsible for the proper and efficient business use of the organization’s data stores, maximizing the productivity of the data’s end users.
- Responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, and testing application and data maintenance software systems.
- Designs, develops, and maintains database code objects, including coding for SQL stored procedures and views, in cooperation with application developers and accordance with database standards and best practices.
- Designs, develops, and maintains database code scripts to validate or maintain data external to the application.
- Manages and performs detailed testing of database objects and scripts; performs code reviews.
- Writes and maintains specifications and documentation for database objects and scripts.
- Contributes to the design of the data model for application modifications/enhancements.
- Identifies SQL code performance issues and optimizes SQL code for performance.
Participates in an on-call weekly rotation to provide support for critical systems outside regular working hours.
Extensive experience in client-server application development using T-SQL for coding stored procedures and database scripts with a good understanding of relational database concepts.
Advanced working knowledge of SAP (formerly Sybase) Adaptive Server Enterprise preferred.
