RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Mechanical Engineering Technician

The Mechanical Engineering Technician will serve as a key liaison between multiple engineering teams, supporting product development and sustaining engineering efforts. This role will primarily focus on processing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), maintaining CAD models, and managing Bills of Material (BOMs). The technician will ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely execution of engineering documentation to support overall project efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure accurate implementation and documentation.
  • Maintain and update CAD models and drawings to align with engineering and design standards.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Material (BOMs) to support manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams.
  • Serve as a communication link between engineering teams to coordinate changes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment.
  • Assist engineers in documenting and organizing design data for product development and sustaining activities.
  • Support compliance with company standards, processes, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical support for engineering teams in the areas of CAD and product data management.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency with Creo (preferred) or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in processing ECNs, CAD maintenance, and BOM management is strongly preferred.
