Assists an early childhood instructor in the care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Selected applicants who have not yet passed the EMCSD Proficiency test will be invited to test. Official transcripts will need to be presented after job offer and prior to salary placement. 12 college units=ISS II 24 college units=ISS IIA 36+ college units= ISS IIB

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM -1:30 PM Must pass the El Monte City School District Proficiency Test. Desired: Bilingual/Biliterate, Spanish, Cantonese or Vietnamese. Must attach Associate Teacher Permit or higher OR Must have *12 ECE units with transcripts showing passing grade of C or better including the three core courses (Child/Human Growth and Development, Child, Family and Community or Child and Family Relations, ECE Program Curriculum class and any other three unit ECE class) *Associate Teacher Permit or higher is required or letter (on company letterhead) verifying fifty (50) consecutive days of experience, 3+ hours daily (paid or volunteer) in an ECE/CD environment within the past two years in order to initiate CD permit process with the CTC.
