Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of nutritional services to the residents. Check the bulletin board at each shift for daily menu, work assignment, work schedules and daily activities. Checks and stocks nourishment station on assigned floor. Obtains prepared nourishment labels from dietary office and prepares sandwiches etc. for residents as specified. Delivers nourishments to respective floors at specific times as indicated on labels. Secures and obtains dishes, cups, bowls, silverware, trays and tray trucks from the kitchen. Assembles food items (bread, dessert, condiments) on the tray as specified on the diet card. Place diet card on tray. Dishes out and portions out hot and cold food from trayline onto the patients tray. Assists in the delivery of completed trays to each resident. Assists in tray preparation as appropriate, including buttering bread, pouring sugar into tea/coffee, cutting meat, etc. Collect trays and disassemble, scrape food into garbage cans and return tray trucks, cups, bowls, silverware to dishroom. Assists in the preparation and service of nourishments to residents and visitors during activity function. Wraps silverware. Makes desserts and resident special plates. Serve lunch and dinner in staff dining room as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma required. Able to follow simple verbal and written instructions. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
