Technical Business Analyst
Johannesburg, South Africa – Full-time
We’re building the future of alternative funding for South African SMMEs — and we need a Technical Business Analyst who can turn ideas into reality.
At Sourcefin, we bridge the gap between big ideas and working solutions. As our Technical Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and designers to translate business needs into detailed, actionable technical requirements. You’ll analyse data, map processes, identify improvements, and make sure our technology delivers on our mission: enabling the forgotten South African SMME.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with business and tech teams to gather and document business and technical requirements.
Translate needs into clear functional and technical specs, user stories, and process flows.
Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Support Agile delivery by refining backlogs, planning sprints, and assisting with UAT.
Liaise between business units and technology teams, ensuring smooth communication.
Analyse system architectures, data models, and API integrations to meet business needs.
What makes you a great fit
2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst (technical or hybrid role preferred).
Strong business and technical analysis skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and fintech platforms.
Solid understanding of process mapping, data analysis, and reporting.
Clear communicator who can bridge business and technical worlds.
Bonus: SQL, Power Platform, or data integration experience.
