Responsibilities:Essential Job Functions
- Conduct nurse-led clinic visits, including wound checks and patient education
- Triage patient phone calls and provide timely follow-up and guidance
- Assist with procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up
- Support cardiac device technologists with patient assessments and coordination
- Manage the Coumadin clinic and anticoagulation monitoring protocols
- Deliver customized patient and caregiver education using various formats
- Coordinate and document individualized care plans using evidence-based practices
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team
- Prioritize care while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Exhibit respect for patients’ rights, confidentiality, and legal requirements
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and nursing practice committees
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Actively support staff mentoring, coaching, and peer review processes
- Utilize resources efficiently and promote a culture of accountability and excellence
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education/Training
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department
Certification
- Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience required within Ambulatory care or cardiac-related setting
