Job Summary:  

The Mammography Quality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all regulatory compliance issues, ensuring high-quality mammographic exams and procedures, and maintaining compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Key responsibilities include quality control, documentation, education, compliance, training and quality learning environment. 

  • Collaborate with the Lead Interpreting Physician, Director of Clinical Operations and Lead Technologist to plan and optimize services, staffing, and technology for breast imaging. 
  • Devise and communicate an implementation plan to address corrective action and development needs in collaboration with the Lead Interpreting Physician, Lead Technologist, and Director of Clinical Operations. 
  • Travel to sites to train staff and implement protocol/process changes. 
  • Maintain continuous compliance with MQSA, ACR, and all regulatory requirements, ensuring readiness for inspections and accreditation processes. 
  • Oversee and standardize breast imaging workflows, protocols, and operating procedures across modalities to maintain high-quality services and patient care. 
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives, ensuring excellence in patient experience, regulatory compliance, and quality metrics for mammography and related modalities in partnership with the Lead Interpreting Physician. 
  • Implement best practices and training across all breast imaging locations to ensure consistency in service delivery and regulatory adherence.

Requirements

  •  Required: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program 
  • Required: Current ARRT(R,M) 
  • Required: State of Connecticut license to practice medical radiography. 
  • Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
