Key Responsibilities
- Preform and lead small groups of assistants in food preparation, serving and clean up.
- Often preforms the job assignments of the dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions as needed.
- Able to operate a variety of industrial kitchen equipment.
- Provide leadership support and guidance to ensure food quality standards are met.
- Ensure customer service expectations are met.
- Control inventory levels.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Food Safety Manager or Food Handler Certification.
- Current ServSafe or state certification.
- CDM/CFPP Certified Dietary Manager / Certified Food Protection Professional.
- Ability to interact positively with residents, staff, and other public personnel.
- Knowledge of dinning services programs requirements.
- Understanding of dinning service program finances.
- Knowledge of quantity food production, serving, food safety, sanitation requirements and procedures.
- Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required.
- Basic computer skills.
