Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for FAI Technician (1st shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.


Position Summary: The First Article Inspection Technician is responsible to complete AS9102 forms. This position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to read and understand documents and industry specifications.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of two (2) years’ in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


Responsibilities:

  1. Reads and Understands Traveler Instructions.
  2. Reads and Interprets Drawings.
  3. Reads and Interprets IPC Specifications.
  4. Uploads data to customer portal (using computer).
  5. Completes Summit Quality Paperwork (C of C, Ionic, Serial Log, yield report, NCR…).
  6. Completes AS9102 (FAI) forms.
  7. Able to read and interpret customer Purchase Order.
  8. Completes Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  9. Communicates Directly with Customer (email or telephone).
  10. Able to be Auditee.
  11. Participates in MRB - Basic Technical Understanding of PWB Manufacturing Process.
  12. Communicates Directly with Production Control and Engineering, as required.

 

Education/Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum two (2) year of printed circuit board experience.
  3. Ability to use Windows based software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  4. IPC-A-600 certified
