The candidate will be responsible for performing research in the Tzounopoulos Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Thanos Tzounopoulos, centered on investigating the neural and sensory biology of the auditory system, with a specific focus on the functions of the mammalian cochlea and auditory cortex.
Primary Responsibilities:
Utilizing mouse models of human hearing loss for a variety of experimental techniques such as electrophysiology, biochemistry, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and high-resolution fluorescent microscopy.
Play a significant role in interpreting data and assisting with the preparation and submission of figures and manuscripts.
Act as a mentor for graduate students, undergraduate students, and research technicians while contributing to the overall research culture within the laboratory.
Requirements:
Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree in a science-related field.
Experience in a laboratory is preferred.
