Are you an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management? Komatsu South Africa is seeking a dynamic leader to join our Reman Division based in Germiston.
This is a pivotal role for an individual who is passionate about optimising warehouse functions, driving efficiency, and ensuring seamless operations within a remanufacturing division in the mining and construction equipment industry.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management (NQF 6)
- B. Degree Industrial Engineering (an advantage)
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience within a warehouse operation/distribution center.
- Minimum of 3 years direct supervisory experience of warehouse staff
Specific Knowledge requirements:
- SAP – Advanced
- MS Excel - Advanced
Job description:
• Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures and standardisation for the warehouse function Plans resource allocation and priorities
• Forecasts resource requirements in line load/capacity plan as required ensuring operations Identify resource requirements and efficiency
• Conducts Process Analyses for continuous improvement purposes
• Manages the Inbound and Outbound warehouse functions
• Provides expert advice to Operations regarding the supply, distribution and warehousing functions for Parts and Reman components
• Collaborates with auditors & conducts audits and process reviews
• Liaises with internal and external customers/ suppliers in the Parts value chain to ascertain areas of inefficiency
• Develops policy, drives continuous improvement in people, process and technology to improve performance and efficiency
• Works closely with MRPs and Supply Chain Manager to enhance the Reman value chain
• Liaises with key stakeholders/service providers and suppliers
• Implements functional / discipline strategy into operational plans & goals
• Implements approved structures (people, process, technology)
• Manages resource allocation and cost
• Collaborates with other organisational units to achieve objectives and results
• Analyses, assess the progress of operational plans
• Manages mechanisms for business results measurement, aligned with plans & objectives
