Introduction: The volleyball program focus is to instruct the sport of volleyball to all participants in grades 7 and 8.
Reports to: Middle School co-curricular coordinators and building associate principal with input from the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach

COACHING DESCRIPTIONS:
Assistant Coach – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must know and understand the Co-curricular Handbook and any Board policies associated with co-curricular activities.
- Supervise warm-up / cool-down activities and assist in games and practices, as requested by the head coach.
- Provide participant progress in coaching focus to head coaches.
- Assist in oversight and organize equipment to ensure all athletes are properly equipped.
- Assist the head coach with supervision and student safety.
- Coaching focus —volleyball fundamentals
- Stay after practice or game until every student has been picked up.
- Other duties, as assigned by head coach or administration.
Season Goals: An emphasis is placed on proper techniques. The framework of exercising and personal commitment is stressed as lifelong goals. We encourage the participants to be competitive with the opponent as well as with themselves, trying to improve throughout the season. Emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills.
Certification and Licenses: Background Check and must have a valid driver’s license. Must have CPR and First Aide / AED certification.
Physical Requirements: Shall complete a physical examination and TB Test as required by Wisconsin Statute.
