Description

Job Summary: (General Statement of Duties)

Provide supervision and training to Team Support Specialists, supervision of the care, treatment, and services to residents, and ensure regulatory compliance for assigned programs and buildings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Maintain the safety and well-being of residents (20%)
    • Provide resident orientation to the program.
    • Assist in implementing the plan of care established by the resident and their care team.
    • Play an active role in residents meeting their goals.
    • Attend team meetings, treatment plan meetings as applicable, staff meetings, and clinical team meetings.
  2. Supervision of team support specialists (20%)
    • Responsible for training of team support specialists including orientation and maintaining annual requirements.
    • Responsible for completing 30-day competency, orientation checklist, and medication administration training observation documents.
    • Responsible for annual competency evaluations of team support specialists.
  3. Support staff, including acting as a liaison between clinical team and team support specialists (15%)
    • Act as liaison between team support specialist and clinical team for any changes regarding residents.
    • Participate in committees as assigned.
  4. Maintaining staffing ratios (15%)
    • Ensure adequate staffing in the event of a shift call-in, including coverage of the shift.
    • Ability to act as team support specialist as needed, including all responsibilities and duties.
  5. Maintaining medication cart and medication inventories (15%)
    • Accept and verify all pharmacy deliveries.
    • Maintain the medication cart including re-ordering of medication and removal of discontinued medications.
    • Complete weekly count of all unscheduled medications to ensure prescribed medications are always available.
    • Uphold medication storage standards.
  6. Completing all required regulatory documentation for houses (10%)
    • Ensuring compliance of documentation for various regulatory agencies governing Rose Hill.
    • Maintaining resident regulatory documentation, including paperwork for transfers and annual updates.
    • Complete all required drills and associated documentation.
    • Maintain rounds sheets and resident roster on the front of the Emergency Binder.
    • Maintain all required logs in the home.
  • Other Duties as Required (5%)

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in behavioral health care setting preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within the prescribed time frames and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, reasonable judgement, sound decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and write well and complete the training to obtain and maintain a valid chauffeur’s license and necessary certifications, included but not limited to CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Demonstrates the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues.
  • Able to utilize electronic record programs to provide shift reports and medication management.
  • Provides guidance and support while identifying areas of improvement to cultivate improved organization culture.
