ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring customer safety, facility cleanliness, effective operations, and a high level of customer service, at the Liberty Mountain Gun Club, during operational hours.
- Assist in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies at the Liberty Mountain Gun Club, ensuring compliance with University policies.
- Responsible for moving rental firearms from the point of sale to the firing line and back and operating shotgun targets for customers.
- Effectively communicate any issues or customer complaints to the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Director of Operations.
- Responsible for the collection of payments through Touchnet during assigned cashiering shifts as needed.
- Answer incoming LMGC phone calls and offer information relating to the facility or assist the caller to find the information they need.
- Ensure clean and organized indoor and outdoor facilities through stocking supplies and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces.
- Responsible to assist with maintenance of machines and rental equipment and the Liberty Mountain Gun Club, including regular cleaning.
- Responsible for opening and closing the shotgun fields, to include turning machines on/off, reloading machines, taking out trash, and sweeping off the walkways.
- Regularly assist with events and operations during evening, nights or weekend hours.
- Attend all required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.
- Perform all other tasks assigned by the Assistant Director of Operations to aid and assist in the operation of Campus Recreation facilities and programming.
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Liberty University student
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain
- Ability to work up to 18 hours per week
- Availability to work a variety of different shifts (weekends, early morning, afternoon, late night)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a gun range facility
- General knowledge of firearms and/or recreational shooting activities
- Experience in a customer service position

Physical and Sensory Abilities
- Frequently required to sit or stand in one location for extended periods to perform tasks assigned to varying positions.
- Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move around the facility
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
- Regularly lift 50 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
- The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is primarily outdoors in various weather conditions. Both areas are well lit and the noise level is considerable. Eye and ear protection will be required at all times while working on the range.
