Position Overview
The Business Operations Associate supports the team with data analysis, financial tasks, and day-to-day operations. This role involves using data to help make business decisions and assist with improving how the business group run its operations.
Responsibilities
Business Operations & Strategic Partnership
Execute daily business operations, maintaining seamless communication with Business Group Operations Partners and cross-functional team members
Participate actively in strategic planning initiatives and internal meetings with global business leaders
Support organizational objectives through collaborative project management and stakeholder engagement
Financial Planning & Analysis
Create management reporting packages centered on key performance indicators to accelerate financial goal achievement
Craft actionable financial insights that inform executive decision-making and strategic direction
Data Analytics
Leverage data analytics and visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx) to transform raw data into thoughtful business insights
Assist with aggregating, cleansing, and synthesizing data sources from multiple systems and formats
Conduct analysis and interpretation of historical financial, operational, and transactional datasets
Documentation & Communication
Produce analytical summaries, compelling data visualizations, and executive-level presentations
Create detailed documentation supporting improved financial data processes and operational efficiency
Deliver written analyses that communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholder audiences
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related analytical discipline
Strong academic performance demonstrated analytical excellence and intellectual rigor
Technical Competencies
Excellent working experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Professional Capabilities
Demonstrated ability to leverage technology solutions for complex data problem-solving
Collaborative and team-oriented and ability to work within dynamic, fast-paced settings
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Superior time management and task prioritization abilities under strict deadline pressures
Confidence and professionalism when interacting with senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Personal Attributes
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Able to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $50,000 to $120,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
