Hybrid Accounting Clerk at The Arc of Opportunity

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (40 hr/week)
Skills and Competencies:
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy when preparing, processing and submitting billing, payroll, payables and entitlements as well as monitoring outstanding receivables and payables
- Organizational Skills to ensure all functions are completed as soon as possible and maintaining a filing system to ensure easy access to records
- Time management to handle multiple tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible, as well as a quick response to special requests for reports and analysis as needed
- Problem solving skills to best resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Critical and analytical thinking to find mathematical mistakes, identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and perform cost benefit analysis of potential actions
- Accuracy during preparation and data entry to ensure correctness
- Communication skills both verbal and written to convey information to others in a clear and concise way
- Knowledge of database structure and report writing to produce reports in response to questions from other departments
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to perform other duties as required
Qualifications: A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and background checks are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration
- Or HS Diploma/equivalent & 2 years relevant experience
- Proficiency with computerized accounting systems
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
