HOURLY EVENT WORKER
The Renton School District is seeking adults to work events at Renton High School. This position is paid by stipend per event or intermittent hourly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to work with the public, particularly high school and middle school age students.
Flexible schedule: Includes nights and weekends.
May include crowd supervision.
Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis.
Applicants selected for hire will be required to provide a social security card for payroll purposes prior to beginning employment.
Verification of identity and United States work authorization must be completed before employment commences. Successful Washington State Patrol check and FBI fingerprint report, in accordance with state law, is required for continued employment.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The mentor teacher’s role is to promote the growth and development of the beginning teacher to improve student learning. Mentors are critical supports in guiding new teachers to enhance their planning, instruction and content knowledge. Mentors help orient new teachers to the school community and to teaching in general. Mentors also serve as collegial and emotional supports for this challenging phase of a teacher’s career.
