The Biddeford School Department is looking for a Nurse or LPN for 10 hours/week with potential travel between schools.
This postion will join our student support team. In this full-time, school-based role, you will work closely under the supervision of our Registered Nurse. This RN or LPN to deliver 1-on-1 daily care for a student in a specialized school setting a few hours per school day.

Job Summary
This time is to ensure specific medical needs are met. Care involves tube feeding and assessments related to the procedure. Collaboration with staff, parents and physicians as needed in regard to health status. Staff training as needed to perform health status monitoring when a nurse is not present.
Brief Job Duties:
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
Provide direct care to students for chronic medical conditions under the in collaboration with the school RN
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with district policy and physician orders
Ensure specific medical needs are met for individual students. Care involves tube feeding and assessments related to the procedure. Collaboration with staff, parents and physicians as needed in regard to health status. Staff training as needed to perform health status monitoring when a nurse is not present
4. Ability to follow district health procedures and maintain confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification/License: Maine License in Nursing required
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) credentials
- Maine Department of Education CHRC fingerprinting
