Job Summary: The IT Data Analyst is responsible for verifying and ensuring the consistency and accuracy of data across different systems and datasets. This role involves identifying and resolving discrepancies, implementing data quality controls, and collaborating with different teams to maintain data integrity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Reconciles data from multiple data sources
Investigates and resolves discrepancies in data
Demonstrated strong analytical and business problem solving skills; able to understand complex business system functionality and develop strategies.
Strong analytical and organizational skills including thoroughness and attention to detail to accommodate changing priorities and work assignments.
Recommends solutions based on data analysis to increase business efficiency and/or improve existing processes related to error handling.
Analyze and validate data using Microsoft SQL and Excel
Maintains data standards, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Writes reconciliation documentation, including data standards and procedures
Works closely with IT managers, database programmers and software support teams
Communicates regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
In collaboration with others, develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions
Provides support for purchased software applications; develops accurate and efficient solutions to data processing/reporting needs outside the normal scope of purchased software applications; and reports errors, omissions and software issues to the vendor.
Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources for data reconciliation between systems/programs.
Generate routine and ad hoc reports
Performs other duties as assigned or required
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Sound understanding of the following:
Microsoft SQL
Microsoft Excel
Development Tools: Visual Studio
Reporting Tools: Microsoft Reporting Services
Knowledge of principles of computer programming, systems analysis and database management methods and techniques
Knowledge of a variety of software and hardware data processing and application programs utilized in the Peoria Unified School District
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures
Knowledge of applicable Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
Skill in Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL
Skill in Microsoft SQL Analysis Services,
Skill in Microsoft Excel
Skill in reading, interpreting and understanding technical program manuals
Skill in auditing and reconciling data from multiple data sources.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, vendors, students, parents, the general public and others having business with the school district.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or higher in a computer related field, OR any equivalent combination of database analyst experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Works independently and able to set priorities.
Possesses AZ driver’s license and good driving record.
Able to read, write and speak English.
Able to perform physical activity and lift minimum of 50 lbs. with no assistance.
Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check.
May be required to sit for extended periods with vision to monitor and repetitive keyboard utilization.
May be required to obtain and maintain computer certifications in multiple areas.
May be required to work outside normal working hours.
May be required to travel to perform work functions.
