The Manager, Casino Accounting is responsible for leading the Casino Accounting team as they perform daily operations including, audit deliverables, month-end close process, monthly balance sheet account reconciliation review, tax returns, analytics of daily audit functions, and financial statements. The Manager partners with Casino Finance’s senior leadership to implement and achieve department goals that support overall property strategic tactics. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Resorts World policies and procedures.
Job Duties:Primary Job Duties: – Includes, but is not limited to:
- Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include quality hiring and training, staff motivation, feedback and development, promotions, discipline, and terminations.
- Develop, maintain and execute a comprehensive audit exception database that supports continuous improvements and swift remediations for identified deficiencies.
- Prepare and validate financial reports are to standard and communicates to non-management groups such as auditors, regulatory agencies and tax authorities.
- Oversee property specific programs, policies and procedures relating to gaming and casino finance, tax and federal regulations, accounting, audit, and state and county regulations.
- Work with Compliance to ensure all regulatory requirements are in place and functioning properly. Communicate with department leaders on all discrepancies or concerns.
- Prepare and assist in gaming revenue audits that include reconciling, analyzing, recording, and reviewing documents for proper completion.
- Ensure accuracy and timely response to internal and external audit recommendations.
- Develop and implement best practices in all areas of the Casino Accounting department.
- Continually evaluate business processes and identify ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure that resources are effectively being utilized.
- Adapt quickly and effectively to procedural changes and assist with other special projects.
- Monitor standards, delegation of daily work, and running of all reports for the department.
- Develop relationships with property leaders to ensure strong communication between FP&A team and operating departments.
- Ensure that Team Members obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Includes, but is not limited to:
Required:
- At least five years of Casino Accounting experience in a similar or related field. At least three years of leadership/management experience in a similar or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or related field.
- Previous experience preparing tax returns in a similar position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
- Strong understanding of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Minimum Internal Control Standards and Regulations including Tile 31.
- Working knowledge in gaming systems including slots, table games, race & sports, and kiosks.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to successfully mentor a team.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
- Strong project management and continuous improvement background.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
