The Athletic Trainer, PRN within the Athletics Department is responsible for assisting with athletics camps and other duties within the department as needed.

The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes assessments using the appropriate testing methods and equipment for the patient/athlete, diagnosis and reason for referral as needed
  • Provides education/consultation to patient/athlete, family, team and community
  • Formulates functional treatment plan to address deficits and patient/athlete and family areas of concern
Formulates functional treatment plan and provides rehabilitation interventions for identified objectives/goals for return to play
Other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 12 months of directly related experience is necessary
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer, National Athletic Trainers Association Certification
  • Athletic Training: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate athletic training in practical applications of moderate difficulty
  • Sports Medicine: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate sports medicine in practical applications of moderate difficulty
