We are seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer I for a hybrid-work role out of our Broomfield, CO location to support the development of our current and next-generation quantum computers.

Estimated Salary Wage: $78,500 - $98,500 Annually
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects or issues.
Participate in code reviews to learn and contribute to improving code quality.
Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation.
Learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and tools as required for projects.
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Assist in maintaining and improving application performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and stand-ups in an Agile or iterative environment.
Continuously update and backfill key documentation
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
1+ years of experience with Python, Go, or Java
1+ years of experience working on production level software

WE VALUE:
Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Computer Science or related field
Experience using modern cloud development tools for container orchestration, such as GCP, in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
Experience with NoSQL type of database such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
Experience with ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Demonstrated experience in microservice architecture and development, as well as full-stack development
Proven ability to solve complex problems and clearly document and communicate solutions
Expertise in working with diverse data representations and data structures
Proficiency with container/image technologies like Docker or Vagrant
Strong skills in software testing and deployment tools
Knowledge of back-end server infrastructure, including queues, messaging, and databases
Proficiency in developing software for Linux, Docker, and similar environments
Strong documentation practices and commitment to maintaining up-to-date documentation
Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
