Temporary Assignment

We are seeking a temporary Digital Photo Retoucher to join our Creative Team and enhance photographs for web and print assets. This temporary position will be for a 5-7 month duration and will work closely with the Creative Director and be responsible for editing, retouching, and organizing ecommerce and lifestyle imagery. The ideal candidate will be able to handle large volumes of imagery, be self-motivated and detail oriented, work cross-functionally with other departments, and develop a seamless workflow with the rest of the Z SUPPLY team. 

POSITION DETAIL

• Full Time / Salary Exempt

• Temporary Digital Retoucher will assist with maternity leave coverage for approximately 5-8 months in duration.  

• There will be no guarantee of continued employment or transition into a permanent position with Z SUPPLY following the temporary assignment. 

• Position Location – Headquarters, Costa Mesa, CA 

  • Hybrid Partial In Office 2-3 days  / Partial Remote 1-2 days 

  • Not accepting applicants unable to work at Headquarters

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain communication between multiple teams to ensure all requests are addressed 

• Maintaining systems so retouching and post workflows are efficient

• Read image edit markups and follow direction for retouching all images, including but not limited to flat lays, on model product, and editorial photography 

• Perform complex image work and fully complete retouching of high-resolution digital files

• Working with reshaping products, adding masks/paths, and changing backgrounds/texture/ colors as directed

• Control the quality of all retouched images and prints

• Color management for digital imagery

• Retouch images to existing standards 

• Outputting assets into the relevant formats

• Assist in photoshoots as needed

• Receive work assignments, schedules, and calendar from Creative Director and produce reliable, quality, and creative results in a timely manner to keep pace with shot counts

• Work within an asset management system

• Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly team meetings

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 2+ years experience retouching images–must have a comprehensive understanding of the digital editing process and related software

• Strong background in photography, retouching, graphic design, and/or relevant experience required

• Experience working with a fashion brand preferred

• Proficient in Adobe’s Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and InDesign

• Adept at color correction, compositing, masking, cloning/healing, dodging/burning, resizing, liquification, changing background colors, and general editing

• Experience processing Camera Raw, TIFF, and JPEG image files for optimization, output, and management

• Experience working in DAM software

• Experience in Global Edit, Figma, and Asana is a plus

• Can efficiently process edits for a large volume of similar photos

• Strong aesthetic sensibility and a keen eye for detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to take initiative, follow directions, and communicate issues in a timely and professional matter

• Detail-oriented, organized, thoughtful, and solution-driven

SALARY RANGE

This temporary Digital Retouching position has a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 and is paid bi-weekly.   

At Z SUPPLY, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. 

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
