Summary

The Global Director of Sales for SAE will be responsible for achieving sales goals, generating increased revenue, and driving overall growth of the full Binks Sealant & Adhesive catalogue of products in global markets.  


Essential Functions

  • Directly lead Binks North America sales team with matrix global leadership of SAE sales teams in EMEA and APAC to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Work with general management and senior leadership to develop and implement long range plans to accomplish various segments and business unit’s strategic goals and direction.
  • Coach, train and motivate Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Product Specialists, and lead the distribution networks in establishing and executing the sales plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and logistics departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and product initiatives. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to broader North American team and ensures alignment with other regional sales managers to provide Binks with a consistent and integrated sales and marketing strategy.
  • Leads weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and sales cadence.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the sales organization, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and monitor annual global sales department budgets. 
  • Oversee distributor meetings, training, promotions, and communications to maintain positive distributor relationships. 
  • Assist in establishing and modifying distributor sales agreements and policies appropriate to the markets served. 
  • Responsible for hiring, conducting performance appraisals and salary reviews, coaching, counseling, discipline, and other supervisory activities.
  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, organized, innovative self-starter, with proven record of success in sales management and team leadership.
  • Ten to fifteen years sales leadership experience in vertical markets with experience in paints, coatings, and adhesive manufacturing and applications. 
    1. Successful candidates will have industry contacts and knowledge of current trends and issues. 
  • Varied and in-depth experience with distributor and distributor networks is a must. 
  • Well-organized with the ability to write and present reports, plans, and proposals tailored for a variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, adapt to change and challenge the status quo.
  • International experience is helpful. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
