Woodview School is looking for Lunch/Recess Supervisors for the current 25-26 school year. Hours are approximately 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM daily.
Title: Lunch/Recess Supervisor Reports To: Building Principal Department: Building Classification: 10 month FLSA Status: Not exempt Salary: $15.00/hour ________________________________________________________________
JOB OVERVIEW: Supervise students during lunch and recess periods (indoor and outdoor) Number of hours per day/week are based on specific school building needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Ability to respond in the best interests of the pupils in an emergency situation
Working knowledge of school functions and procedures
Ability to exercise flexibility and appropriate judgment to meet all student needs
Ability to work collegially within a team environment
Experience/willingness to work with children
Ability to work cooperatively with other lunch/recess supervisors
Cleaning of lunchroom is not a primary responsibility of the supervisor but at times will be necessary
Communicates with school office student issues that may arise
Enforces playground rules and performs additional duties assigned by the principal
Playground Supervision
Patrols designated areas
Maintains recess supervision both inside and outside
Monitors student conduct
Supervises recess area by enforcing reasonable safety practices
Discourages disruptive and potentially dangerous behavior
Mediates disagreements
Escorts injured students to the school office
Communicates with school office student issues that may arise
Enforces playground rules and performs additional duties assigned by the principal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform duties both indoors and outdoors during the entire school year
