Smithbucklin, a 650-person, employee-owned professional services company with more than 70 years of success serving the association market, with primary offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., is looking for a Membership & Operations Coordinator in our Washington, D.C. office. The Membership and Operations Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting volunteer committees and member engagement for Worldwide ERC (WERC), a client association serving the global talent mobility industry – with nearly 3K enterprises and 5K individual members representing the corporations and service providers responsible for relocating 450K+ workers annually throughout the world.

What You Will Do...
Provide high-touch member engagement as a key member of WERC’s 4-person membership and operations team.
Lead the coordination and support of WERC’s 25+ volunteer groups (e.g., committees, councils, work groups, task forces, etc.).
Work with board and staff liaisons to develop and maintain committee charters and annual work plans that align key initiatives and deliverables with organizational goals.
Monitor and manage project timelines and milestones to ensure timely progress of action items and outcomes.
Prepare regular updates and reports for board meetings, highlighting committee progress.
Serve as the primary staff liaison for 4-5 assigned committees, collaborating closely with leadership to schedule committee meetings, prepare agendas, and coordinate action items.
Draft communications, social media content, and website updates.
Assist your WERC colleagues with other membership and operations duties.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years of relevant professional experience
Proficiency with project management tools and association management platforms
Ability to travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of or interest in the global talent mobility industry
Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones
Familiarity with membership, credentialing, and awards programs
Experience with HubSpot and Impexium/re:Members
Experience with marketing automation platforms

Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
The salary for this role will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. Additionally, successful candidates may qualify for a discretionary bonus up to and including 5% of base pay. The expected pay for this role is: $62,000-$65,000.
