Hybrid Regional Rental Director at FabickCAT

Job Summary:

The Regional Rental Director plays a pivotal role in leading their region towards achieving revenue and profitability goals, growth objectives, market share penetration, operational excellence, and employee engagement. Their strategic decisions and actions directly impact the company's success.  The Director ensures alignment between their region's operations, sales, and service departments while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional customer service. The Regional Rental Director will establish financial goals for all Region Rents locations in conjunction with the General Manager- Rents. The Regional Rental Director is responsible for demonstrating and supporting the Rental Pillars of Success within their region.

Responsibilities:

Business Growth:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive rental revenue growth and market share expansion.
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends to capitalize on emerging rental needs.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders to foster business growth and enhance brand visibility.

Rental Excellence Program:

• Lead efforts to achieve and maintain Caterpillar's Rental Excellence Program standards within the region.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and actively work towards continuous improvement in rental operations.
• Implement best practices in equipment maintenance, fleet management, and customer service to uphold quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Operational Alignment:

• Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of rental processes and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to regional/district managers to optimize rental processes and workflows.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence across all rental operations.

Performance Management:

• Set clear performance goals and metrics for rental operations, sales targets, and customer service standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance trends to assess the effectiveness of rental strategies and initiatives.
• Take proactive measures to address performance gaps and implement corrective actions as needed.

Leadership and Development:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Region/District managers to maximize their potential and drive performance excellence.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to build capabilities and enhance employee skills within the rental organization.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the regional rental team.

Fleet Management:

• Work with the Fleet Manager to ensure optimal fleet utilization and availability.
• Develop and implement fleet acquisition, maintenance, and rollout strategies to support rental operations.

• Monitor fleet performance and make data-driven decisions to enhance fleet efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to company safety policies and regulatory standards.
• Work with Safety Director and Region Safety Manager to implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs for all rental staff.
• Ensure safety audits and inspections are regularly completed to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety regulations and best practices.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
