About this role


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across technical, professional, and leadership roles within the Renewable Energy and/or Construction sectors. The successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing top talent, partnering with hiring managers, managing recruitment systems, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience that aligns with our company’s growth and sustainability objectives.

 

Duties and responsibilities 

 

Full-Cycle Recruitment


  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for roles across all levels (junior to executive).
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop role profiles, and design sourcing strategies.
  • Execute proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, networking, referrals, job boards, and ATS pipelines.
  • Conduct screening, shortlisting, interviews, and offer negotiation.

 

 Talent Strategy & Market Insights


  • Stay updated on renewable energy and construction talent market trends.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for critical roles (Engineering, Construction, Project Development, Commercial, Corporate).
  • Provide market benchmarking insights and competitor intelligence.

 

HR Systems & Reporting


  • Maintain and optimise Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Ensure all data is accurately captured and reported.

 

Candidate Experience & Compliance


  • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Ensure recruitment practices are aligned with EE, POPIA, and labour regulations in South Africa.
  • Support internal mobility and succession planning initiatives.

 

Required skills and education background


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in Renewable Energy, Construction, Infrastructure, or Engineering.
  • Proven experience hiring for both technical and support functions (e.g., Engineering, HSE, Project Management, Finance, Legal, ED etc).
  • Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms.
  • Familiarity with HRIS tools and data management/reporting.
  • Expert sourcing and headhunting techniques (including Boolean search and LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to advise hiring managers.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and EE requirements.
