Role Summary
The Working Foreman is responsible for leading the direct work in the workshop. They need to ensure that the work is carried out according to applicable instructions and in a rational and economic way for both the customer and the company and for selling workshop hours.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily planning of workshop
- Carry out daily repairs to the vehicles in the workshop.
- Provide the workshop technicians with instructions and directions. To guide and support the technicians about troubleshooting, repairing methods, efficiency and services quality.
- Manage and maintain control of Work In progress (WIP) in line with Dealer targets
- Test drives vehicles before and after the work is carried out, when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Trade certificate
- Three years or more of technical workshop experience
- Computer skill - MS Office
- Experience in leading a workshop team advantageous
- Auto Electrical Experience is advantageous
