Context of the role
The Catalogue Manager is responsible for the management and optimization of the company's product catalogue. The catalogue manager is responsible for maintaining the existing product catalogue, onboarding new products onto the catalogue, coordinating the removal of products and providers and reviewing the quality of service. The candidate will coordinate catalogue management activities across the relevant departments, which includes:
- Commercial
- Solution Delivery
- Technical Operations
- Customer Care
- Financial Operations
This role is a senior operational position. As such you will report into the Head of the Technical Operations team, and indirectly to the CTO. You will be expected to interact with a variety of stakeholders including members of the executive team.
What you’ll do
- Establish project management best practise to support all aspects of catalogue management across teams.
- Ownership and collaborative management of the product catalogue, ensuring alignment with strategic directives and business goals.
- With the support of the data engineering team you will perform data-driven analysis to identify optimization opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Establishing and monitoring clear KPIs to measure catalogue performance and business impact.
- Regular reporting on the performance of products and providers, including presentations to Exco.
- Monitor, plan and direct the execution of catalogue related activities, such as implementing new providers, activating new products, reactivating products and deleting inactive or non-profitable providers.
- The catalogue manager will be the single source of truth and of information regarding the product catalogue - this includes the status of products, quality of service, revenue generated by products, the state of providers and the progress with implementing new products and suppliers
Requirements
- Proven project management experience is essential. A recognised project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) will be viewed favourably.
- A university degree is required, preferably in a discipline that supports analytical thinking or business operations. A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the demonstrable ability to interact with complex data is key to success in this role.
- Experience in the telecommunications domain, or with digital value transfers or in a related field is highly advantageous.
- You will have experience of interacting with engineer teams and operational teams.
- You will be required to interact with stakeholders across the business and as such excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills are required.
- Experience of using reporting tools such as Tableau and Redash is highly desirable. The ability to write SQL queries will be to your advantage.
- The successful candidate will be familiar with the Google Workspace suite of tools and in particular you will be comfortable managing spreadsheets and creating presentations and structured reports.
