Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow our talented engineering team. As an integral member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers in the development, delivery, and maintenance of high-impact products. You will combine your strong technical expertise in Java, Angular, and AWS with your proven leadership skills to drive innovation and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
Drive the delivery of high-quality products on schedule, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and other stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities, and deliver features.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in Java, Angular, and AWS, ensuring best practices and modern engineering standards.
Own the team’s technical roadmap, making strategic decisions about architecture, scaling, and technology adoption.
Develop and track key metrics to measure team performance, product quality, and delivery timelines.
Foster career growth and professional development for team members through coaching, feedback, and regular performance evaluations.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new talent to build a high-performing engineering team.
Proactively identify risks, resolve conflicts, and remove blockers to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience managing an engineering team responsible for full product delivery, preferably in an agile environment.
8+ years of hands-on individual contributor (IC) experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend and frontend development.
Strong technical background and proficient in Java, Angular, and AWS.
Proficient in Java, Angular, and AWS.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and a strong focus on software quality.
Strong project management skills and familiarity with tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello.
Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and process improvements.
Experience managing, mentoring, and developing engineering leaders (e.g., Engineering Managers or Team Leads).
Demonstrated success delivering products from ideation to launch.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision.
Experience with modern software development methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
